Senior Accountant (Contract)

Position Summary

As a Senior Accountant, you'll report to the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the financial operations for our growing software firm. The ideal candidate is available 20-40 hours per week on a contract basis. Activities include A/R, A/P, GL, Sales Tax, Payroll, and financial statement generation. You’ll have the potential for growth, incorporating cash management, budgeting and forecasting activities within a fast growing, high-tech, oil and gas software provider.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage accounting functions for our growing software firm: Journal entries, accruals, A/R, A/P and account reconciliations.
• Sales Tax and Payroll preparation.
• Financial and SOC audit assistance.
• Financial statement generation.
• Cash management, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Available 20-40 hours per week on a contract basis
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Experience with accounting software
• Experience creating and preparing financial statements
• Advanced Excel expertise required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• GAAP Proficiency
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or software company preferred
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business and W Energy software
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Responsible individual with a strong work ethic and analytical mind to play a key administrative role
